Vanessa Mdee’s decision to quit the music industry and settle down with Nigerian US-based actor-singer Rotimi was quite a shock to her fans.
Several years down the line, some are yet to accept that she put aside her music ambitions for her family.
So far, Vanessa has given birth to two beautiful children and loves being a supportive spouse to Rotimi.
She uses her platforms to promote his acting and song releases.
While promoting Rotimi’s new song, fans opted to advise Vee Money about her decision to exit the music industry.
One person amydiazzzzzz asked; “Girl fact that you quit your career to be this dude’s hype man and he won’t even marry you is heartbreaking for real…I hope you find your way back to what you love. You completely gave yourself up for him,”.
Vanessa told the critic “I will gladly support my husband and gladly raise our children and gladly stand for what I love, my sister’s life is not social media. Ps. The royalty checks still coming in”
amydiazzz was not done “Too bad he cheats on you. I wish you all the best”
Vanessa reacted sharply “I know for a fact he cheats on you and I feel sorry for you. He doesn’t deserve you throwing your career away because he cheats in the most disrespectful way. And he’s not your husband. He’s not married to you. I really hope you make out well in the end because you deserve so much better. He’s an addict and weirdo,” ends the remarks at Vanessa.
Vanessa has since deleted the comment made by the fan and her response.
Mdee through her podcast in 2020 announced she’d quit her career, calling it demonic. It caused her mental anguish.
She said; “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but my mission is to be a light. I know that I would probably disappoint a few people and that’s Okay, I know that my fans don’t want to hear this but guess what I am never too far away from you, trust me.
“The reason why I had to leave the industry is because I needed to choose my life, the music industry is demonic. People will tell you half-truths about what really goes on, and the truth is I just wanna be an advocate for honesty and beauty and a sincere advocate for what facing your demons can do for You.
