Dennis Itumbi has opened up about his relationship with former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
“I think the person who stopped communicating was Uhuru Kenyatta, and since he was the president, I am just a guy who is in this town, trying to make a living. It is up to him to if he ever feels that he should ever give a call. It’s up to him. I unlike Kiman Ichung’wah, I’ve not blocked him,” he said

“If he called I’ll pick up his call but I am not desperate for his call. The only thing that I will never do and it is what I told him at the time when he called, is kneel down before fellow, man. I don’t need Uhuru Kenyatta. The right word is I don’t give a damn whether he calls me or not,” Itumbi added.
The relationship between former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Dennis Itumbi was not during the former’s term – at some point in 2019 – when President Uhuru was at Bomas of Kenya, Itumbi claimed that the former instructed his foot soldiers to have him kicked out.
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 had a chat with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, moments before digital strategist and blogger Dennis Itumbi was whisked out of the podium at Bomas of Kenya.

Dennis had to play it down taking to socials.
“Hahaaa Mr. Kibicho and team. It’s okay. Boardroom and closed rooms ni zenyu. Tukutane kwa wananchi (Let’s meet at the grassroots),” Itumbi wrote at the time.
“I had a beautiful moment as I left Bomas a few moments ago… with the deputy escorte commander who kept telling me, ‘we know you are not Dennis Itumbi but his brother”
“Lucky for me, a colleague saved me. A few minutes later, he was clearing the road for me,” posted Itumbi.
