Celebrated media personality Lulu Hassan reveals how she pursued a career in media.
During an interview at Hot 96, Lulu revealed that she was working with a company that deals with computers in Mombasa as a receptionist when she received a call from a client who loved her voice.
The client named, Anthony, told Lulu that her voice would fit well in the mainstream media and from that day she started to develop passion of being a TV Girl.
She would carry News Papers to go and read at home for her improve on pronounciation and diction even before enrolling in a journalism school.
Most times, she would read the News Papers to her mother who used to encourage and affirm how her voice would fit well for a News Anchor role.
While still working as a receptionist, Lulu spotted a Radio Host role advertisement in the News Paper and applied. She luckily got the slot and while working for the radio station, she enrolled to a media school to pursue journalism.
Unfortunately,her mother passed while she was still working for the Radio Station and did not witness the person she has become.
