World Marathon holder Kelvin Kiptum is dead alongside his coach in a terrible road accident.
The renown athlete was driving a Toyota Premio when he lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road.
With him was two passenger his Rwandese coach Garvais Hakizimana who also lost his life and a lady passenger called Sharon Kosgey who escaped death with serious injuries and was rushed to Racecourse Hospital for medical attention.
The bodies of the deceased are lying in Racecourse Hospital Mortuary.The vehicle was badly damaged and was towered to Kaptagat Police Station.
What a sad night to Kenya and the athletic world.Kiptum was planning to run a less two hour race soon and was among the chosen to represent team Kenya in the next olympic games.
