She had undergone an emergency CS.

“I suffered. The whole pregnancy. morning sickness, acid reflux, then gastritis, coz I had ulcers, I was in the hospital every week. I would get well then after two days I’m admitted, then I recover, like that hadi 34 weeks,” she said.

Lynne delivered her daughter at 34 weeks “kalikuwa kadogo. kalikuwa 2kg, I labor at 33 weeks, 3 days. I was driving, and I called my mum and told her what I was feeling, crampy bloating that was coming and going”

The consultation led to the gyne who admitted her and gave her an injection because the baby’s lungs weren’t fully developed.

Lynne began experiencing persistent vomiting which was of concern.

” I was told it had to be an emegency CS, coz mtoto ni mdogo sana ku push. nanaweza choka. I was alone, Eric came but was told to stay on the other side to receive the baby and take her to the nursery”

At some point after delivery, she felt like vomiting once again as the anesthesia wore off but medics were in between shifts and couldn’t attend to her.

According to Lynn’s mother, she passed out and was unresponsive for an hour

Eric panicked and took off, as the mother attempted to get her to wake up.

“I was told that she was tapping me. Eric akaishiwa na nguvu akawachana na mimi. She told me I was silent for one hour. Then after that, I started crying,”

Lynne was horrified by post-surgery;  “The first walk weuh, you can’t talk, laugh, cough if you turn you get stressed,”
